The Catalan Traffic premiere helicopter

From Thursday April 9, coinciding with the beginning of Holy Week, the Catalan Traffic Service has a new helicopter to perform daily tasks of control runs up from the air.

This new device, a Eurocopter AS355, is equipped with a camera WESCAM MX-15 military source and allow, for example, read the license plates at night over a thousand feet, fixed to a vehicle radar to follow it or detect the speed with virtually no margin for error. Nor will bring in excess as it can take images from a height of 300 meters.

In addition, you can issue real-time image to see the traffic to and from the central control of the SCT, opening or closing lanes to improve the physical installation in certain situations.
